Meet The Team

Keisha started working for Rustic Hollow when she was 15 years old, then went on after graduation to continue her career in the animal field training with multiple veterinarians and working at a nearby humane society as a medical technician. In 2008 she took on the job of lead Med Tech and worked up to Staff Supervisor in 2018. At the same time she was also working part-time for several years as a receptionist at a local tattoo studio. In 2021 she is now the current Executive Director of Rustic Hollow Shelter and manages all the staff, payroll, inventory/ordering, newsletter publications and MUCH more.  She is also  President of our Board of Directors since 2019. In 2024 Keisha will be celebrating 16 years with our sanctuary. Keisha has had MANY favorite felines throughout the years, but has a soft spot for the following furbabies: Soup, Cosmo, Sachi, Marius, Dunkin (RIP), Gma and Baby Lisa to name a few. She enjoys attending LIVE music with her partner Josh and his band Grave Corps, as well as tattoo 'therapy' sessions, nature hikes, anything spooky, visiting new places (New Orleans was a favorite!), and anything involving animals (cats especially!). She has 3 cats of her own at home (all rescues): Ollie, Dax, and Tonka. Ollie is her bottle baby rescue, weighing in at 20 pounds & is now 9 years old!

Kaitlyn is a wonderful addition to our Med Team and serves as our on-site shelter certified veterinary technician-CVT. She has much knowledge, skills and compassion for all animals & has been a very active member in our community & surrounding areas for many years helping all animals, ALL the time! She is also involved in multiple rescues including Hero's Haven which partners with our shelter to help find placement for many felines in our area! Any spare time this busy gal gets is spent reading or listening to audio books and helping out at her family's local dairy farm! It's truly a blessing to have her on our team.

Dodo is one our our animal caregivers, and has been with Rustic Hollow for a few years now! She loves the kitties and has many favorite felines throughout the shelter buildings. She works a second full-time job also, so we are thankful she still finds the time to care for all the Rustic Hollow felines each weekend. Dodo also has an American Bully named JJ-Girl at home and enjoys reading & true crime podcasts!

Des started Rustic Hollow in the Spring of 2023. She enjoys learning all the personalities of our residents. Cat cuddles are also a bonus. She has several kitty favorites including Vincent, Maya, Henry, Mabel, and Miss Cricket. Des enjoys multiple interests outside of work such as painting & creating art, horror movies, theatre, baking, photography, tattoos and more! During the fall months Des works as a 'scare actor' with The Heart Of Darkness, which is a local haunted scare attraction during the Halloween Season. She can also make balloon animals...in the dark! (thanks to this haunt season.) In August 2023, Des painted our 'second chance at a lifetime' mural in upstairs Bradley's Building. If you visit, be sure to check it out! She also has 2 felines at home: Gibbous (Gibby) a rescue, & June Bug (Bug) a kitty that enjoys eating...you guessed it, bugs!

Chad started working at C&W back in 2006. In his own words: "I found the job in the newspaper over the summer and decided to stop out and talk to them about the job. I was 12 years old when I first started. When I started they had me sift the litters in all the buildings and carry around fresh litter. I still do that today, along with any other maintenance. They call me the 'Weekend Warrior' at C&W shelter because I work only on the weekends as I have another job during the week. I really enjoy working at C&W and everyone is so friendly and most of the cats are friendly too and love the attention. I am glad I can still be apart of their team." Chad is pictured with his 2 year old daughter Ellie.

Tera is pictured (center) surrounded by her wonderful family. She is a new addition to our shelter team & we are grateful to have someone that is dedicated to keeping a very clean & tidy space for all of our special needs felines. Tera works twice a week in Bradley's Building & does a fantastic job keeping up with one of our busiest buildings on-site.

Madison is a newlywed! (pictured with her hubby Dustin) she is also a new addition to our shelter caregiver team. Madison enjoys ALL animals, and has many pets of her own. She currently works in our Kitty Kabin (remodeled cat barn) and is fitting in very well. She also loves the show Gilmore Girls, collects anything with pigs! And says that Halloween is her favorite holiday.

Bailey is also a newcomer on our caregiver team. All the way from Douglasville, Georgia. He moved here to be closer to some of his family. He wants to be able to help out with things, like his uncles food truck during the warmer months! Bailey enjoys gaming & coloring by number and is also a big collector of Superman & Marvel memorabilia. He is pictured with 'Bubbles' one of his favorite resident's of Sandy's Kitty Haven. He also helps us out on the weekends when we are short staffed and need a litter scooper. We are grateful for him and his dedication to his caregiver duties!

Halie joined our caregiver team this past February, 2025. She took to the cats in her care quickly. Halie has great cleaning skills, and is comfortable around many animals, which is always a plus! She enjoys thrifting & showing cows in her spare time. She also works primarily as a Nanny, so even though we only see her once a week she has proven to be a dependable and friendly face around the shelter. Welcome to our team Halie!
